City based Treasure Hunts in the UK and Europe
Altitude's Treasure and Scavenger Hunts are ideal for Corporate Events, Team Building, Stag and Hen Parties and just about anything else that you can think of! Treasure Hunts are fun for all, usually very competitive as everyone gets into the spirit of things and the best part is that everyone is fully involved during the whole task. City based Treasure Hunts also offer a fun filled way to explore the city that you are staying in.
Our UK and European Treasure Hunts have factual, fun and silly clues to answer along the way, as well as a scavenger hunt list and a tricky word quiz. Each team is also allocated a digital camera which is used in answering some of the clues and tasks but also acts as a lasting memory of the day.
Teams are set a certain amount of time and then meet back at the rendezvous point at an allocated time (points are docked for latecomers!) when the marking can begin. This is overseen by our Treasure Hunt Event Manager and we mark the teams efforts together as a group. Due to the competitive nature of the events and the pride at stake to be the winning team, there is usually a fair bit of banter and possibly even some bribery thrown in for good measure!
Our Treasure Hunts are primarily City based Treasure Hunts which take place on foot around many towns and cities through the UK and Europe. There are selected Treasure Hunts that need to be driven and some that rely on travel via public transport. As well as running the City Based treasure Hunts, we do have some for Small Villages, Country Houses, Hotels and areas of Countryside. We currently have the following Treasure Hunts readily available but can always produce new ones if required:
- New for 2012 - Treasure Hunts in Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Eastbourne and Windsor
As well as the UK Treasure Hunts listed above,we also currently have Treasure Hunts for the following European cities:
How do the Treasure Hunts work?
Each participating team (usually around 5 or 6 per group) has a treasure hunt booklet containing traditional treasure hunting tasks. Teams must navigate their way around the location of their treasure hunt (city, hotel, etc). Extra points are available for photos taken on the digital cameras which relate to certain tasks and clues. There are also word quiz's and a scavenger hunt to complete as well as the Treasure Hunt itself. To develop planning and decision making in your teams, we always set too many clues and tasks for the time available. Teams must select the challenges and the most efficient route to gain optimum points. Penalties are handed out for late arrival back at the rendezvous point so keeping a eye on your time management will definitely be advantageous for the competing teams.
